Camping in the Grand Canyon [Stop 24: Road Trip 2015]

We have been fortunate to travel to many places in the United States and abroad, but seeing the Grand Canyon, a place I’ve wanted to visit for a long time (in an RV) with my own eyes was breath taking! Wow, it’s almost hard to explain that first moment you see the Grand Canyon, besides the fact that it’s so big, what was amazing to me was how still and quiet it was looking out over the Canyon. It is just so peaceful.

We stayed right inside the national park at the Grand Canyon Trailer Village RV Park and it was great. We stayed three nights, it’s full hookups and costs around $44.00 a night, which I thought was a bargain for where we we were. As far as amenities in the campground… it had bathrooms and showers, all decent, I don’t remember if it had a playground or not. For us of course the best amenity of all was being within walking distance of THE GRAND CANYON. 🙂

Staying at this campground you are within walking distance to the Yavapai Lodge, (where you can go and have a meal and get the ONLY decent wifi in the area (I think). You are also within walking distance to the Bus Stops, if you want to take a shuttle bus to any of the stops along the Grand Canyon Rim and also a pretty decent sized grocery store, gift shop, deli and mailbox for mailing out some postcards to all your friends and family wishing they were there with you experiencing this amazing site.

Here are some pictures from our campground, we stayed at site F30, they are all pull-thru sites.

And here are pictures from the amazing Grand Canyon, if you haven’t been yet – put it on your bucket list, I can’t wait to go back.
