Stop 26 brought us to Holbrook, AZ (I don’t think there is a song for that town. LOL) it was a quick overnight stop to get us closer to our next destination of Albuquerque, NM. We stayed at the Ok RV Park in Holbrook, AZ and it was OK. 🙂 It was actually fine for the overnight stop, the lady who check us in was friendly and the park was clean, but we didn’t have time or really see any amenities to speak of, so that’s that. They do offer a Good Sam discount it cost around $30 for the night and was a full-hookup, pull-thru site.

From Holbrook, AZ we headed to the Land of Enchantment – New Mexico. We stayed at the American RV Park in Albuquerque for two nights it had great reviews (and lived up to them), offered a Good Sam Discount and a free continental breakfast every morning so that was nice. The campground is well maintained the bathrooms are clean the sites are clean, we did not use the pool while were were there but that seemed very nice as well. We had a site RIGHT NEXT to the playground, you’ll see from the pictures. Which is good and bad, but mostly good I suppose.
We also choose this campground because of the location it was not far from downtown Albuquerque and only around an hour from Santa Fe so we were able to visit both places easily.
We really enjoyed New Mexico from their beautiful license plates to the beautiful scenery it is such a pretty state. The first night we went into downtown Albuquerque, it is so cute with all the Mexican style architecture. There happened to be a concert going on with a Mariachi band so we had to stay for a bit and watch that. We walked around the center of town, check out some stores and enjoyed the music for a bit it was a very nice evening.

The next day we went to Santa Fe, another beautiful city with gorgeous architecture. I found both cities to be very clean as well. In Santa Fe we also walked around and explored their downtown area, we had lunch – mexican food, of course and visited the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum. What a great experience that was. I have loved Georgia O’Keeffe’s art since college and it was so nice to go to her museum and learn more about her. What an interesting lady. I was a little concerned bringing the Little Guy to the museum thinking how is this going to work, it’s not a playground to jump and climb all over everything, so I thought for awhile and discussed it with Fer should we go or not and then I remembered that Liam loves the show Little Einsteins and how they go to museums and famous landmarks and explore all the time so I told him we were going to be the Little Einsteins that day and check out a museum, etc. etc. and it totally worked. Liam is a lover of the arts I think anyway. 🙂 He was such a good boy and we really enjoyed our visit to the museum. It is so NICE getting some art into your day.

So that’s a wrap on stops 26 and 27 on our whirlwind trip around the United States. Let’s see where we head to next.
