Our first official camping trip of the 2016 summer season was at the one and only Hunting Island State Park in South Carolina. We love this campground if you have not guessed by now.
On this trip, while we enjoyed the beach and hiking along the water, I asked myself was there any part of the campground that I had not covered yet on the blog??? There were a few, so let’s wrap up all the awesomeness of Hunting Island State Park.
SIDE NOTE: I do not usually take pictures of the bathroom/shower facilities at any campground, and I do not have any pictures here of them either but they are clean and well maintained, just a bit dated.
What have we not covered so far… two very important things: The Gift Shop/Camp Store AND The Playground.
The camp store is awesome, I was joking with Fer that we need to camp here on Black Friday and do all our Christmas shopping here this year. Especially if people on your list are into camping decor and coastal beach themes.
Other than decorative knick knacks the camp store is well stocked with things like bread, milk, eggs, etc and camping supplies.
The playground at Hunting Island is new, there was not a playground when we first went there less than a year ago, so of course we are very happy that they’ve added one now… for when (OR IF) you get bored of the beach…
So that’s a wrap on Hunting Island State Park… I guess until the next time. Happy Camping.
