Stop 11 on our 2015 Road Trip brought us to Sioux Falls, SD. At this point we were just working our way thru the State of South Dakota from Minnesota to get to the Black Hills so we just stayed in Sioux Falls for one night, but if we had more time I think the area of Sioux Falls would be a nice place to do some sight seeing.
We stayed at a Camp Jellystone in Sioux Falls, very conveniently right off the highway so it was perfect for the one night stop. This Camp Jellystone was not as big as the one we stayed at in Calendonia, WI but it was very nice, clean, had great amenities (pool, playground, etc.) and the staff was extremely friendly.
We pretty much just lounged around on this stop, we actually “rented” for free the latest Yogi Bear movie from the camp store and Liam got to watch that for the first time, he loved it.
The playground was very nice, of course we spent time time there.

Our site was a pull-thru and it was very spacious.

We were able to attend a meet & greet with Boo Boo, always a fun time.
lot’s of spaces and mostly all pull-thrus.
If you’re driving thru South Dakota or going to Sioux Falls for a vacation, I highly recommend this campground.
South Dakota to me was one of the more surprising states to drive thru and one of the things that surprised me was the fields of sunflowers I don’t think I’ve ever seen something like that before it was just beautiful.
A lot of people told us about how you drive and drive…. and drive for miles, hours (almost days LOL) through South Dakota and you don’t see anything and then you will see and old western looking town and WALL DRUG in the middle of nowhere and we sure did. So we had to stop of course and conveniently it was lunch time. Here’s some pictures from Wall Drug
So that’s a wrap on Stop 11. Next stop Mount Rushmore.
