Start with the connection
Check the RV outlet and the dump-station inlet before buying a hose. Swivel fittings and common 3-inch connections still need the correct mating ends. Measure the distance at the site, including bends and a little slack.

Keep fresh and waste systems separate
A sewer hose and its fittings should be dedicated to wastewater. Inspect the hose and seals before use; keep it contained for transport and storage. Confirm a preowned hose has never been used before considering purchase.
